The lights were dim in sickbay as Mitzy slowly withdrew from her sleep cycle; she was groggy as it had been a long forty-eight hour sleep cycle for her. Once every other month her body required it of her. She slipped from the cocoon which was suspended in the corner of her office, an organism with a life of its own folding back in on itself to appear as a large black and purple lily. Her hand brushed the light controls on the wooden desk bringing up the natural light in the room. The air was chilly on her scantily clad body, she pulled open a metal locker door at the back of the office and she pulled on a black jump suit that was pleasantly form fitting, affixing a Starfleet communicator to it, she then settled down onto the wooden chair and began to pull on her boots.
The sound of other animals, and organisms began to call to her from beyond her office. They knew she was awake and it was time for them to feed. Her assistant knew she would be waking this morning so there was no need for her to do this task as she had for the last several days. Her assistant has always been frightened of her pets.
Mitzy was in the practice of using organic medicine more than most of your typical Starfleet Officers, but this was born from the fact that she was not from the Alpha or Beta quadrant but from an older part of the galaxy.
Pressing on with her duties she strolled out into the main part of sickbay where all the action happened, which typically just housed biobeds and other equipment but not her sickbay, no this was an eco-system combined with the normal Starfleet technology you would find in a starships sickbay but with many more curiosities.
She moved toward the back of the room which had a large section full of Tanks, Cages and plants which were very lively and excited by her approach. She began walking down the line feeding them as she went, petting some while avoiding others. Some of the tanks were blacked out or covered as to not frighten any visitors or have the pets inside frightened by them. They were all very grateful for her bounty. As she came to the end of the table she activated the custom feeding and watering system that took care of the rest of the sickbay ecosystem, and it was a vibrant ecosystem that she had nursed from seedlings or by other means.
The entirety of sickbay was covered in vines and plants along the ways and ceiling, fruit and flowers adorned most of the plants which seem to become more vibrant as the feeding and watering system provided them with substance. As you came into sickbay you would notice that there were the traditional bio-beds along the right side of the main room, the left side was full of extremely large pods that were very reminiscent to Venus fly traps.
Mitzy smiled as she pulled a piece of fruit from a plant in the ceiling, its bright orange color was vibrant. She took a bite from the fruit causing a bit of dark red juice to issue forth from around the wound in its skin, she savored the sweet flavor of its nectar as she surveyed the room. She nodded to herself noting her job here was done to start the day, she headed back further into sickbay to the lab area and began going about the normal day’s routine. But it wouldn’t be a normal day, it never was. She knew something was about to happen, something wonderful! She giggled manically for a moment to herself, a villainous grin spreading across her lips.

Post mission briefings were the dullest. He watched Admiral Rothschild listen intently to the after action reports asking questions where appropriate. She was nothing if not thorough as a commanding officer. He just noticed that she seemed impatient. He listened to the others report and it was like a bunch of children trying not to be blamed for something. The meeting was over, and Anton was dying to do something he deemed important. He strode down the corridors of the Legacy with both purpose an authority. He looked at officer roaming around living their worthless lives. None of them realized that everything they did meant nothing. Not even the stupid after action reports. Anton had looked through all the bodies finding nothing of note. It attested to his foul mood and lack of appetite. Admiral Rothschild had invited him to her private dining area for dinner. He wished he could look forward to the meal, but there just wasn't a reason to feel enthusiastic about much. During the meeting they had mentioned a new Chief Medical Officer. Maybe it was a little rash for Anton to stab the last Chief Medical Officer, but he felt he was doing the ship a service. One didn't wield a laser scalpel like a 'steak knife', and call himself a doctor. So Anton demonstrated how to extract organs to the man, one at a time. He had read several papers published by this new Doctor Mitzofilozleopex. She had some strange practices of holistic medicine, but Anton was dying to see them in action.
A trip to sickbay, would be just the thing to get him in a better humor. The turbolift ride added to his bad day. It was full of young officer. One in particular who prattled on about a young man on board Legacy that she was flirting with. He rolled his eyes reflexively. He left sickbay rubbing his head. He was sure the ride lost him several 'IQ' points. He entered sickbay and was stunned. It was as if he'd left Legacy and entered some sort of holo program. It wasn't a sickbay as much as a 'rain forest'. He gave a passing nurse a stern, causing her to walk at a more hurried pace. The elaborate vines and plants. The vivid smells were an assault on Anton's senses. Beds that weren't exactly beds , and he couldn't tell where the lab was. He took a deep breath which caused him to sneeze. He walked over to one of the nurses. "Where is the Doctor?" He said as less a question and more an order. "I'll get her." Was all the woman said before she seemed to disappear in greenery.

Doctor Mitzy sat upon a backless stool at a table watching as a liquid bubbled in front of her in a tear drop shaped glass fixture, its colors swirling and changing as the heat plays across the bottom of it. Using a long glass straw like device she drew a small amount of lime green colored liquid from a simple clear container, inserting it into a small hole in the top of the concoction. It slowly dripped in and made its way down the side of the container, it began to mix causing the liquid to bubble more violently.
“Um, Doctor?”
She looked up over the top of the chemistry set, her eyes narrowing to slits. “What!” she said sternly slipping from her perch. “I told you not to interrupt me when I’m mixing!”
"The ships Executive officer is looking for you.” She said.
“Ah,” she giggles. “Excellent.” She gestured to her. “Come,” she pats the seat that she vacated. “Sit my pet.” She smiles, her lips parting mischievously.
The young nurse moved around nervously and settled onto the stool. “Yes, ma’am!”
“Now,” she reaches across the woman picking up the glass straw. “You need to add this much.” She gestures to a spot on the glass straw. “Right now, and then every five minutes until I return.” She smiles again to the young woman and gently sets it into her awaiting hands. “Do not fail me in this.” She pats the young nurse on the head before turning to head toward the door that leads back into the main part of sickbay.
Passing through the automated doors and through the hanging vines she glances over at the one of the other young officers laying on one of the bio-beds chatting away with another young female officer. She stopped a moment as a thought processed bringing a smile to her lips. She glances over at one of the pod’s, and slowly the smile turned to something altogether different. Her eyes settle on the XO, her eyes scanning the man up and down. “Well hello there,” she slowly approaches him extending a fair skinned hand. “Doctor Mitzy!”

While sat during a post mission conference she intently listened to the blokes rambling. With her emotionless black solid eyes her thoughts would remain concealed from the rest. Anya imagined taking a surgical laser scalpel and slitting a throat of an officer speaking. A smile would form on her lips but that would convey that she had emotions. Anya wouldn’t give the useless chaps the satisfaction in knowing she produced pleasure in their deaths. She would leave that to her bore of an XO; not that he was but rather he always seemed uninterested at everything, like having a go with the former CMO. The briefing was over and all those who came disbursed to god knows where on her ship.
An inconsequential ensigns caught her attention. She was a magnificent creature that almost all around her adored her. This Ensign Rou was a new transfer about three months ago and she quickly grew on Anya. The young woman that has an impressive future ahead of her would indulged the needs of her Admiral. “Ensign? Ensign Rou. Would you like to have a drink with me?” It was blatantly not a request but an understanding she had no choice but to obey. They walked to an office that appeared to be a lab office for one of the techs. There had a replicator and Anya helped her self to a drink and one for the Ensign. The room was lit dimly and the youthful lady couldn’t make much out around her.
Anya set her cup on the glass table and moved close to the ensign. She caressed Rou’s neck and moved her long light brown hair out of the way. The admiral leaned in and took a whiff of her sweet scent; she cherished her, just adored everything about her. She was perfect and Anya could taste the innocents that exude from her. Ensign Rou felt uncontrollably anxious that a woman was taking a fancy towards her. She trembled when the admiral kissed her neck, then Rou suddenly began to convulse and thrashing about.
“Hold still, love. Don’t ruin this moment! Your perfect skin, soothing tone and grace must be maintained when I have you…” Anya stood at aft from her held her firmly on her stomach and Rou’s back pressed against Anya’s torso. While the admiral held her ear in her mouth while blood stain her teeth and Anya's other hand sliding the ritualistic blade across her throat. Beneath both of them the floor was covered with a plastic film to catch the blood that sprayed out from this petite woman. The admiral drops the semi-animate ensign and began to speak in a archaic language. The words that slipped out from Anya’s mouth were familiar yet unknown to this verse.
The blood that was spilled all about the tech’s office vibrated. Anya spoke, “My eminence?” Anya kneeled, “I have collected the samples and the genetic codes are incomplete. I need guidance me mysterious passenger.” The admiral was quickly lifted from the ground and in to the air. As like she were being lifted from her neck and the blood vibrated with a voice, “This trivial speaking is a waste of time.” Immediately the demonic voice pierced through Anya’s mind and it told her instructions with emotions and imagery. Anya fell from mid air and landed on her feet, she adjusted her uniform and looked around the room. “The film wasn’t big enough.” Being in the lab/office she arranged a simple chain reaction that would appeared a sudden plasma fire would enveloped everything inside. Anya cause the fire not to hide what she done but why she did. Moments before the plasma fire began she walked out to the corridor with her drenched booths staining the carpet. “My Lord has arrived.” minimally saying.
Anya continued through the arteries and veins of the Legacy leaving dark red foot prints. A junior grade stood motionless at the sight of her. “Don’t you think the carpet should be pulled out and replace with nice cold grid steel?” Glaring at the lieutenant for the lack of response Anya continued, “Well, aren’t you going to get started with it? Get the maintenance crews to sodding do it!” She took in a mental note of the lad, “Perhaps he would make a brilliant fancy…”

Anton had been waiting patiently for the enigmatic chief medical officer. He looked around the the sickbay she constructed. It was pleasant, and cheerful. There was a warmth to it that sickened Anton's stomach. The only redeeming quality was the foreboding under-surface. He felt there was a feeling like you were going to be less a patient and more on the menu. The Luxanoid walked out with a slow stride. She studied every fine and pod along with the people sitting in her sickbay. The looked on her face was that of satisfaction. Anton was impressed by her demeanor, but he also had taken the time to look at her physical appearance. Her orange eyes glowed like a animal in darkness. Her height was slightly below average for her species. She was perfectly formed other than that small imperfection. Anton knew that part of his duties as executive officer was to act as liason for the Admiral. However, so far Admiral Rothschild's selections for her crew had been one of familiarity. He wanted to inspect sickbay, but he really wanted to get to science. He knew killing the last chief medical officer would follow him. Hopefully in the way of a warning to the next one to be more competent. She stopped finally addressing Anton. “Well hello there,” she slowly approaches him extending a fair skinned hand. “Doctor Mitzy!”
He paused a moment to assess her hand before shaking it slowly. "Doctor," He said deciding to take a respectful tac....for now. "I see you have taken no time making yourself at home." He said after taking a glance around the room. "I have read a few of your papers regarding organic mutations, and I must say that if the Admiral had not brought you on board you would have been my first choice." He looked at the couple sitting on the biobed. "Might there be a place we could have some privacy?"

She smiled sweetly glanced back at the two individuals, before her gaze came back to him. “Certainly,” she started moving toward her office but a giggle from behind brought her to a very abrupt halt her facial features changing to more of disdain but only for a moment before they went flat. She turned and strode across the room towards the two young officers, stopping only briefly to offer a very flat comment. “One moment if you please.”
She crossed to one of the pods, her fingers caressing the opening causing the pod to tremble before peeling open. A sweet smell filled sickbay, its calming effect filling the air. She reaches into the pink and violet interior pulling a small seed from inside causing the plant to tremble with excitement. Its opening seeming to grow in size. Slowly she approached the two young officers stopping and waiting for their current conversation to stop.
“Can I help you doctor?” the young man turned toward her.
“Yes, you need to take your medicine.” She offered an extended hand with the seed in it.
The young man glances down at her hand, then back up at her. “What is that doctor?” he asks with a quizzical look on his face.
“Medicine,” she takes another step toward him her demeanor changing. “Take it!” she says a bit more forcefully. “Now!” she shifts her view toward the young woman. “As for you, if you are not sick you should leave!”
“It’s still standard visiting hours!” the said frowning.
“Indeed. But he’s going to need rest.” She smiles again looking toward the young man. “You came in complaining about some sort of flu like symptoms, this will help heal you. Take it!”
He reaches out and takes the seed from her hand cautiously. “Ok, ok!” he puts the seed in his mouth and swallows it.
“Good!” she says with a giggle. “Now be a good lad, and don’t struggle.” She says as she turns and starts walking back toward the executive officer. Her facial features one of satisfaction, as she strode over toward him, passing by him and through the opening to her office.
There was a rustling sound as some of the vines began to move, then the muffled and startled cry of the young man from his bio bed as he was very suddenly and quickly ensnared by the vines wrapping him up tight, before the young woman could react he was whisked through the air and into the awaiting maw of the pod that she had coaxed to life. It snapped shut in a near violent manor, and began working itself almost as if it were chewing the young man, but not a sound came forth. Only after a few brief moments did the vines retract from within, covered in an orange goo like substance. The young man’s head slowly slipped out through the maw of the plant, he appeared to be sleeping soundly despite being covered in a goo.
The young woman still stood there frozen, not knowing what to do.
“I will not stand for using my sickbay to avoid work, nor will I abide mating rituals in my sickbay!” she said somewhat sternly as she settled into her chair behind her desk. Folding her hands across her lap and leaning back into the chair. “Now what can I do for you, is it Lieutenant Colonel or Colonel? I’m still getting used to the ranking system I’m afraid. I don’t want to address you incorrectly.”
