A few hours later back in engineering…
Haemis wondered back into engineering his uniform was covered in all kinds of flotsam now, he had been knee deep into some of the ships systems helping to re-route power and repair or patch whatever he could possibly manage.
“Chief,” one of his officers called. “Was just about to call you!”
“Aye?” he said walking straight for the supply closet. “Follow!”
His power systems management specialist was following right on his heels. “We should consider seeing what we can salvage from the other ships out there, we’ve got parts but we might be able to do some direct swap outs using the transporter system to speed up some of our system recovery as long as we make sure everything is disconnected. I was going to run it by Antwan but he’s been out and about as well.”
Haemis continued to restock his kit listening to the young officer. “Aye, tis a good plan. I’ll take it to the bridge and see what they say. Start planning now!” he pushed past the officer slinging his kit over a shoulder and into his office. “I want a list of what’s available on the other vessels that cannot be repaired ready, start with critical systems first of course.” He stopped and popped the top on his red tool box, he reached in almost shoulder deep and was visibly fishing around inside the thing until he had one of those “ah ha” looks and yanked out a utility belt full of tools. He took only a moment to glance over it as he strapped it on. “Should have grabbed this earlier.” He said now alone again in his office.
He turned and started for the exit heading for the bridge, hopefully to get the Captain’s blessing on his officers idea. He got to the turbolift and stepped in as it opened to admit him, his head had finally started to calm down it wasn’t so painful but he still got twinges of pain every time a loud noise greeted him. “Bridge!” he muttered. The lift hesitated for a moment before starting its journey up toward the bridge, the lift did not sound healthy making a warbling sound much like an old turbolift on one of those old Constitution class vessels made but much louder. He would have to get someone to fix that at some point no doubt the drive impeller was in bad shape probably when the lift was sent ajar.
The doors to the bridge came open, well at least one of them did the other made a loud grinding sound which caused his head to ache for a brief moment as he pushed out into the mess that was the ships command center. A few engineers were hard at work getting some of the bridge systems back up and running and cleaning up some of the structural damage which they would no doubt be replacing later when other more important things need to be accomplished. He stopped and looked over to the dark hole that was the Captain’s ready room and a sinking feeling ran through him before he looked back at the bridge crew. “Where’s the bloody captain!” he said, his voice was a bit louder than even he expected.

As he waited for a response from the "Acting Captain", he noticed a few seconds had gone by and was rapidly turning into minutes. He shook his head briefly. thinking that Grant junior is much like his late father: Slow in response and most likely, slow in reaction time as well. Perhaps junior didn't hear him as he was focused on other things, like the whereabouts of the actual captain.
He was about to inquire as to whether Mr. Acting Captain had heard him and was about to repeat his report when a loud grinding/screeching came over the comm channel. At first, he thought it maybe something in the transmission but then realized, it was something over there on the Sotrila. Grunting his displeasure, he muted the channel for a couple seconds then un-muted it when he though the sound had ceased. Suddenly another voice came over the line, asking for the "bloody" Captain. From the tone of the speaker's voice, the speaker was not pleased about not finding the captain.
Grab foot spoke up, into the communication line, "Admiral Two Dawns here, to whom the officer that is looking for the captain. I'm assuming the captain is not on board hence the fact that Major Grant has specified that he is now Acting Captain." He tried to hide the irritation in his tone.

After leaving Main Engineering she headed towards not the bridge but to the Main Shuttlebay. She could respect the wishes of her ‘real’ captain but he is not around. She also thought that if she was found on the Harbinger, that possibly that Stanton could be there. Her combadge chirped hearing Patton’s voice for updates, Kate thought that clearly the man was lost and was over his head. Simply she decided to ignore him and continue with her current thought, which was reboarding the other starship and she what she could learn.
Kate arrived at the shuttlebay and prepped the same shuttle she used from the Harbinger to Sotrila. With Drak technology she easily accessed the shuttlebay doors to let her out and the doors close behind her. Kate made a pass around the Sotrila to visually look her over, when she saw the USS Thunder she remember that damn useless fur ball. She made a course correction and headed towards the Thunder and hailed, “Admiral Pussycat? Still alive yea?” Once she made contact with Admiral Grabfoot she continued to say, “Aren’t you tired of that human pussy? What was her name? Benson… I know you want a good little pussycat but I know you need, bad pussy.” She smirked. “Miss me bitch!?”
Whatever that Admiral Grabfoot was likely spewing out about her, she simply smiled and beamed his mid spouting arse aboard. As soon as he materialized she stood to slap and grabbed the collar of his tunic then but his lip. Kate then shoved him away and returned to the console. Her persona changed, “What are we going to do with the young Grant?” She paused for a second, “…and no your not taking over of the Sotrila. You maybe an Admiral but you have no place taking over a ship that you don’t know. She is my ship and my crew, they been long my home and family before Jessica was ever a mistake I made.” The shuttle craft grew closer to the at drift starship. “You will never understand. Jessica is a hybrid, I didn’t think you would bring her to term or let alone she would survive. And you raised her human or worst with human values, Grabfoot?” She looked back at him as she made contact with the Harbinger’s shuttlebay. “Your not helping her but making her weak. Where we are heading towards isn’t like your mighty Federation.”
Kate hands Grabfoot a breathing apparatus or sorts, something from her verse. She open the shuttle door and walks out, “We have two goals Admiral Furfoot. Find Captain Stanton Briggs and what happen to the Harbinger.” What she could tell is that both Sotrila and Thunder used their weapons toward the Harbinger but the damage done to her couldn’t have been made by ether starship, based off from her flyby. The key of knowing what happen must be on board the Harbinger. The clue that she found was she awoke here and not on the Sotrila, why was she here?

Location: Sotrila’s Bridge
"Indeed, I can advise my status and situation, Captain" There was a short pause, followed by "My status is that I am alive and survived what we encountered. My situation is that I am dead in the water, as you humans term the phrase. My ship's systems are completely down, save for communications and life support. Navigational systems are…" performs a quick status check "... down to bare minimum. If I were to dock with Sotrila, I would count that as lucky.”
Sgt. Maj. Grant swallowed hard, to hold to his professionalism. “With respect Sir, it’s simply Sergeant Major; I only hold the position of ‘Acting Captain’ as Captain Brigg’s bestowed it upon me just before the current crisis while making some personnel changes.” There was some brief distractions as bridge personnel continued to work on systems and try and repair what they could. Communications were still sketchy at best, but most of Grabfoot’s words were getting through.
“Commander Phontan was investigating Engineering, but I’ve not yet heard an update. As far as docking goes, still not sure on what propulsion we have working, and would rather not add a ship to ship crash to our problems at the moments. Lastly, from what I’ve heard, our transportation system isn’t reliable at the moment either.”
About that time, Chief Engineer McTavish exited the turbo life and came aboard the Bridge, “Where’s the bloody captain!” As Patton turned to address him, the communications console sparked and started a small fire, and communications failed again; missing Grabfoot’s last comment. It seemed only the short range combadge signals were working. Looking back at the Engineering Chief “Where’s Comma… Nevermind. Obviously there’s been a disaster, and the Captain is MIA at the moment. I’m ‘acting’ at the moment. Damn it Chief, tell me what’s working; it’ll probably be quicker than saying what isn’t?”
After receiving the Chief’s update, he also received an update from his Corpsman Tali, who’d responded to help in Sickbay. “Sarge, it’s about as bad as one would expect down here. But there’s another thing you need to know.” There was a pause before she continued “Ambassador Ann’ox is gone.”
Patton stopped what he was doing and his face started to blank out “Tali…” was all he could mutter, but his Corpsman interrupted him quickly “Sergeant Major, I’m sorry, that was a poor choice of words on my part. I mean she’s not here in Sickbay, where she was just before the incident. Staff says they never saw her officially leave, and she doesn’t appear to be aboard. Just wanted you to be made aware.” There was a scream from a casualty, and she quickly closed the channel.
Patton shook his head, trying to clear it, and took a deep breath. He chided himself, and mentally reminded himself that Draks are resilient, secretive and unpredictable, and she (Ann) likely simply ‘disappeared again’. With his mind a little less foggy, Patton continued with his duties.

A Response from Grant came through “With respect Sir, it’s simply Sergeant Major; I only hold the position of ‘Acting Captain’ as Captain Brigg’s bestowed it upon me just before the current crisis while making some personnel changes.” He grunted as the junior Grant corrected the admiral on his "correct rank" and that his "position" is only acting Captain. What ever the case may be, junior Grant was still in charge, or so he thought. In his opinion, making Grant junior an acting captain was about as foolish an act as putting the senior Grant in charge of another ship that he had served on, and ended up nearly crashed on an asteroid
Grant continued with an update that Phantan went to Engineering but has yet to hear an update. Knowing Kate, she could be anywhere to being inside the warp core or not even on the ship. Grant wasn't even sure how much propulsion he had and then recommended that a dock should not be attempted. Suddenly the line went dead about the time his senses went on high alert. That could only mean one thing. A glance to the left of the Sotrila indicated what looked to be a shuttle approaching. His suspicions are confirmed when Kate's taunting voice came through the communication line. He tried to ignore most of her insulting jabs but the one about Bensen, that's what irked him the most "Yes, I am still alive, thanks to you and it's good to see you too. I am surprised you would even attempt to contact me at all after all this time" His response dripping with sarcasm, especially after her "Miss me, Bitch"? crack
The next thing he knew, he being transported from thunder to the shuttle that Kate is on. As soon as he was made whole, he was slapped, grabbed, bit and then shoved away, all seemingly in one action. He glared at the back of Kate just as she retook the controls of the shuttle. He shook his head and came forward, taking the co-pilot's seat but he didn't touch any of the controls. Instead he listened to the questions and comment that she had about Grant and how she thought that Jessica was a mistake and how he had brought her to term and raised her and how he chose a human mother to help raise his hybrid daughter. Jessica may have been a mistake to Kate but to him, she was a miracle, born of a union that no one thought could be possible. He took not that Kate was navigating the shuttle toward a ship that is clearly adrift also taking not of the weapons fire damage to the hull, marks not made from a federation ship "I sincerely doubt you brought me aboard this shuttle to speak of how I raised Jessica. In my eyes, you lost that right when you simply abandoned us and informed me not to follow you or even attempt to find you, lest you would simply kill me. I chose to find another mate to help raise her and get her through the areas where only a female would be able to assist her but that is no longer relevant since it is long passed. You seem to think so little of us, but we are survivors. I also taught her in the ways of my people as well, not that would mean anything to you, I am certain.
As for Grant, in my opinion, he should not even be in a position of command. I don't care to have a repeat of what happened with the late senior Grant. Although, we are in agreement. The Sotrila is yours as is her crew. I have no desire to take command but will take it if and when the situation arises."
Just as he finished his speech, he noticed the shuttle had come along parallel to the Harbringer. He turned to Kate as she handed hi what looked to be some breathing device. He was about to question what she was about to do next when he seen her go to the rear of the shuttle and operate the shuttle door. He quickly dons the breathing device as the door opened and she stepped out. He does the same thing then comments "I think the major priority here is to find Captain Briggs and see to his possible safe return to the Sotrila."

As Grabfoot said, "I sincerely doubt you brought me aboard this shuttle to speak of how I raised Jessica. In my eyes, you lost that right when you simply abandoned us…” Kate said somewhat under her breath, ‘Your right, I don’t. I don’t care to be a mother to that.’ He continued, “… and informed me not to follow you or even attempt to find you, lest you would simply kill me.” Kate rolled her eyes and thought inwardly, ‘and that is why I left. You don’t have the balls to take me.’ Grabfoot rambled on, “I chose to find another mate to help raise her and get her through the areas where only a female would be able to assist her…” Kate once more said under her breath, ‘She’s weak and she’s of no use to me…’ Kate was simply stating a fact that they’re offspring is at a handicap. A woman of any species wouldn’t know how to raise a hybrid Drak other it’s own kind. The cat continued, “but that is no longer relevant since it is long passed. You seem to think so little of us, but we are survivors. I also taught her in the ways of my people as well, not that would mean anything to you, I am certain."
“It doesn’t!” As she came along side the Harbinger she uttered quietly, “The ways of a coward…”
Grabfoot said, “As for Grant, in my opinion, he should not even be in a position of command. I don't care to have a repeat of what happened with the late senior Grant. Although, we are in agreement. The Sotrila is yours as is her crew. I have no desire to take command but will take it if and when the situation arises.”
“Good we are at an agreement.” She said. “When the time comes I expect you to grow a pair and back me up when I take down the young lad. I also expect that ‘your’ offspring would side with us, for your sake.”
Once they were both on the shuttlebay of the Harbinger, Grabfoot stated, “I think the major priority here is to find Captain Briggs and see to his possible safe return to the Sotrila.”
Kate looked to him, “Then go find him.” She curtly jabbed at him. She wasn’t gonna start taking orders from this lower creature. She simply took him as she knew he would do the job and assist her. “Go to the command deck if you can, don’t bother with any ‘survivors’ they are no use to us.” Her mind shifted back to being a Drak, the hold that Stanton had on her was loosening its hold. The longer he wasn’t around Kate could return to being who she was but not the way of how Admiral Grabfoot saw of her.
As soon as Grabfoot turned about Kate was gone but through their combages she said, “I heard that, bitch.” Kate voice seemed to trail off and went silent when she said, “Lack of manhood, no wonder Jessica is…..”

Damn it Chief, tell me what’s working; it’ll probably be quicker than saying what isn’t?” Haemis stood staring at the Captains Ready room for a long moment his mind racing as he stared into the black soot filled room, he shook his head clearing his thoughts before crossing to the Engineering Station on the bridge, his hands bringing it alive. “It’s a bloody Mess lad!” he said bringing up the Damage Control Display. “Life Support, Structural Integrity, Inertial dampening systems, Waste extraction, Combat Shields, Partial Power to the Phaser array, Photon torpedo’s, Most Turbolifts, Short range sensors, Impluse drive at about half, Full thrusters, and a plethora of other minor and redundant systems. The computer core is back online but in its default mode!” he nodded staring at the damage control display. He shifted and looked back at the young man. He watched as the young man took in everything going on around him. “Laddie, we’ve got it under control, it’s just a lot of bloody bee stings all over. When we shunted all that power through the navigational deflector and the computer core it saved the ship, but at a high cost. Were going to need supplies, repair parts. I’ve already got people scanning those hulks looking for what we need. I’d like permission to start putting together teams in EVA to go get what we need. That beastie” he points at the viewscreen at the pretty badly damaged vessel floating in the distance. “Is not sound to go back into service, her spine is broken!” he shifted his weight leaning against the console. “We should take what we can and destroy what’s left over one we’ve got everything we need. Prime directive and all that!” he said closing his eyes pushing the pain in his head back down.

A muttered "You're right. I don't. I don't care to be a mother to that" reached his ears as he stated his case with Kate. As he 'rambled' on, he thought that she should have thought of that during that one night that Jessica was created. If she didn't want to be a mother, she shouldn't have been in the mood to become one.
Another muttered response to his ramblings "She's weak and of no use to me." Anyone not of whole Drak blood would be inferior and weak to her, he mused
When she called his ways "the ways of a coward", he wanted to pick her up and throw her out the back hatch himself, without opening said hatch. He wanted to cuff her soundly but she would just shrug that off as no big deal. So, he did the next best thing. He hissed at her "I would watch your tone, Commander. I may not mean much to you but I am in a position where I can take the Sotrila from you and young Grant." Not that he would. "I have seen and experienced your powers and I can assure you that I would be no match for you in a one on one fight." Naturally, that irked him "So I choose to live instead of ending up dead or end up a slave. You don't have to worry, I will have your back when you decide to take the ship from Young Grant. I still favor... or trust you more then I do Grant" Again, that irked him
Now in the Harbringer's shuttle bay, she simply told him to go find him when he commented that their first priority is to find and rescue Captain Briggs. Easy for her to say, she probably knows exactly where he is but is leading them like what humans call puppets. "I had planned to do just that." He said when she "told" him to go to the command deck and leave any survivors
He started to walk off, then pause and turn back as he had intended to do something unexpected, something that could possibly get himself killed but then again, he's had a long and prosperous life. When he turned back, she was already gone, so he turned again and walked out of the shuttle bay to head for the command deck, musing that he still had a few years to live.
Just then, he heard the slut on his comm badge. He shook his head with a growl, muttering "She may hear but she still doesn't listen." Did he really expect that she would?
He then tapped his badge "Admiral Two Dawns to Captain Briggs, respond." If he could. While he walked, he tapped into his felinoid instincts, to hear, see or smell any survivors or any indication of Captain Briggs

USS Sotrilla – Deck 7
Madalyn sat in the corner of one of the small lounge rooms that was surprisingly empty, she had been working for the last couple of hour’s non-stop helping the wounded that had flooded and overwhelmed the ships sickbay personnel. It was true that there were a lot of minor injuries but the sheer amount of disoriented people was very odd. She was covered in various colors of blood and fluids, and even though the smell was assaulting her senses she didn’t care in that moment, she had to get a way and sit for a time. There was a reason she left internal medicine in favor of counseling work.
The doors parted and another woman crossed the room, she too was covered in fluids she even had a hastily patched injury running across her back which had left a hole in her uniform. She clearly didn’t care because she reported for duty just as her training would have dictated. “Coffee, hot, Black, Sweet!” she said, her voice was shaking with fatigue.
“You look about as bad as I feel!” Madalyn said trying not to startle the woman who was just reaching for her coffee.
The woman didn’t jump she just grabbed her coffee and turned to meet Madalyn. “Yeah, hell of a day!” she said dropping heavily into a chair. “But we’ve managed to get them all I think!”
“Now we can rest right?” Madalyn said almost asking for some reassurance.
“Something like that!” she said. “You’re not part of the normal medical staff right?”
“No, just volunteered. Figured you could use the help!” she said shifting her weight to stand, with the fatigue she was feeling in every part of her body it was a task to rise but she managed.
“Yeah, I’m sure that we needed it today. Even if it was not a lot of major injuries it was certainly a lot of patients.” She said leaning back in her chair taking a long drink from the coffee mug in her hands. “Now it’s just getting them all out of sickbay.”
“Indeed.” Madalyn said as she crossed the room to the replicator herself. It just had dawned on her that she had not yet had a chance to eat herself. “Grapefruit, halved, with light dusting of sugar. Chilled water.” She said to the replicator as she approached. It only took a few moments for the replicator to produce the request. She took it and settled down at the table.
“Did you used to be part of medical?” the nurse asked.
“Yes, I was a trauma nurse for about six years before I converted to counseling work.”
“Why would you ever want to do that?”
She paused as she ate a spoonful of grapefruit. It was tart in her mouth, just as the memory of that day when she decided that she would never practice medicine again. “I killed someone.” She said dropping the spoon on the plate. “It was an accident, but it had a very profound impact on me. I had to seek counseling myself for a while. It helped me and I decided that I could no longer practice medicine.” She shifted uneasy in her chair. “This was the first time in about a year.” She said gesturing back toward where sickbay might be. “I didn’t really do much accept triage and basic assistance.”
“Seems like you survived it.” The young woman said.
“It didn’t hit me till just a short time ago,” she said taking up the spoon again and taking in another bite of the tart fruit. “My hands were shaking the whole time!” she said staring at them again and finding that they were still shaking.
“I’m sure you did great, and I’m sure there is a lot of people who would thank you for what you did do.” The young woman finished off the coffee in her mug. “If no one has said it, thank you for your help!” she said standing and setting the coffee mug in the replicator and sending it back into its molecular oblivion.
“Thanks!” Madalyn said as she stared at the grapefruit in front of her. Something didn’t feel right.
The nurse walked out leaving her sitting there lost in her thoughts.

Sgt. Maj. Patton Grant took in all that the Chief was saying, but it was a lot, and was just supposed to be a simple combat soldier. As the list about the issues that they were all facing, Patton sighed deeply and pinched the bridge of his nose.
“I’d like permission to start putting together teams in EVA to go get what we need…” Patton looked back at him. “Are you serious? Can we spare the manpower here aboard, to go looking over there?” He looked back at the viewscreen and saw the Harbringer floating, dead in space. “You’re the Engineering Chief, and I’m no mechanic; you tell me.”
Patton looked down at the decking, and took another deep breath. “Fine Chief, set your teams. But I want you taking some security with your crew, just in case.” He turned and looked back out over the damaged Bridge and back at the viewscreen, and signed. “Oh, and Chief. Once we get what we need, and you can confirm the ship IS a total loss; you’re to scuttle her.” Patton waited to make sure his conversation with the Chief was over, and once he was off, he slammed his hands down on the console.
An ensign looked back at him, from the burnt out computer console, and shook his head. Patton just rolled his eyes and walked over to another panel.

Jessica stood there at the burned out Tactical console, listening to the conversations on the bridge. She nearly jumped as one came to the bridge and with a horrific screeching, managed to pry the TL doors open, move to the captain's ready room and ask in too loud of voice where the bloody captain was.
She wanted to tear out his vocal cords and tell the man the captain wasn't there but she refrained from both actions. Then her father, Admiral Two Dawns, had attempted to hail and communicate with them before being severed because of too much damage
She doesn't know why but she knew when he mother, commander phantan left engineering and even the ship. In her mind's eye, she seen the ship Phantan used head toward the Harbringer then suddenly veer toward Thunder, the Admiral's ship "Commander, what in all of Hades are you doing?" She muttered to herself
She felt as the admiral was transported from thunder to Kate's ship and some of the personal interaction. Her tail thumped the floor and she muttered a growl. Kate's shuttle then turned back toward the Harbringer where the Admiral was dropped off and possibly Kate went aboard with him to search for.. the captain?!
She then heard Grant comment to the Chief about confirming the Harbringer is a derelict and should be destroyed "NO!!" She nearly shouted as Grant slammed his hands down on the console "Major Grant!" She started again but at a lower tone but the force behind her words was still quite loud "You cannot destroy the Harbringer just yet. Admiral Two Dawns and possibly Commander Phantan are BOTH over there looking for the captain and possible other survivors."

There was something familiar calling to her back on the dead ship. It weren’t any of the faces and distant cries of the Harbinger crew but a hint of a psychic dub. It was one of those feelings that anyone sensitive could to feel, hear or touch it in their minds could maybe sense it. However would be vivid to two persons loud and clear, that would be of kin or of someone that the message is directed to. Kate folded out part of her Drak armor; mostly to allow her to stroll through the ship unhindered by lack of life-support, gravity or anything that could harm her. There were parts of the ship that had emergency force fields in place that kept the insides of the vessel, well in side. The breaches and open to space was breath taking and Kate could even see the Sotrila in some of these openings of the Harbinger. It was kindly like she was sight seeing and for a moment she wasn’t looking for Stanton or whatever that’s seemed to have pulled her back here. There must have been a reason she was on board, and on the Command Deck when she first woke.
A tingle in the back of her skull called her deep within the Harbinger, Grabfoot wouldn’t know anything about this. He would be on the Command Deck learning of what happened to the Harbinger and helping whatever poor bastard he could find. He had access to the shuttle that Kate brought, he shouldn’t give a damn of what Kate thought. Likely he would take it upon himself to do what is right and save what he can. Meanwhile Kate has arrived to a series of laboratories at first nothing seemed to stick out but that feeling she kept having intensified. She sensed something familiar something from back home, something that called to her to sense of family but perhaps wasn’t the right word but a closeness to degree near it. The sensation brought her to a room that was dim and had a over hanging of lights that flickered randomly but in almost with an even spread.
Kate started to laugh loudly once she realize who she was sensing but quickly her anger came over her. Surrounding her body the space began to distort as massive amounts of heat radiated from her. Soon with a radiance of about a meter around her started to catch fire, melt or glow orange. The end of the bio-bed blacken and or melt as the boots towards the end of the bed felt the hotness of Kate. “I hate you!” Her tone could articulate the malice. “I don’t know how you can shroud her over you to call me here.” Laying on the bio-bed was Samuel Grant; there was something extremely off about him it wasn’t who she remembered but this feeling that called to her came from him. It was strangely interlaced in the bastard she remembered from the USS Terrasect. It was the man of Admiral Grant but the man that was Ann’knox’s younger obsession the security chief. The smell and essence of Ann’Knox was all around him and within him. His fear and helplessness called out to his son Patton and oddly directed towards Kate. She didn’t hesitate and she took piece of a metal that she ripped from a bulkhead or furnishing in the room and plunging that in to Grant’s chest and right in to the bio-bed. She spats in his face and said, “Now we are even!” Kate fell to the ground and leaned against the wall then as she could listen to the man suffer. Samuel choked on his own blood, saliva, and had mixture of breathing problems. With all that he tried to speak and Kate just wanted him to die but she crawled to the bed and placed her head close to his mouth. As he said what he tried to utter, his blood and spit would fly against her cheek and ear. Samuel’s last breath left his mouth and Kate lifted her self off the bed and she headed towards the Harbinger’s Main Engineering. She would be the only one who would know what Samuel had said to her.
When she came near the surrounding corridors the area was in a temporal flux. For some reason or due to the disabled systems of both Sotrila and Thunder neither could detect this. Kate passed a barrier of sorts as she entered the main chamber. It was the bitch herself! Fucking Ann’! Senior Grant’s love and mother to the pup Patton. Kate could see that Ann’knox couldn’t move or stop what she was doing. You see she was currently engaged in using the Harbinger’s slipstream warp core and ‘shifting’ this ship in to another reality but what Kate didn’t understand was whatever Ann’knox was up to its over. She succeeded, so why is she still keeping this stance? Kate activated her battle mode in her armor and the bio-metal folded out and this long black steel blade erected out from her arm. She stood behind Ann’ and prepared to push the blade in to her back and out from her chest. Suddenly a voice chirped in to the room, a voice of a man! Kate said, “Stanton?” The voice called out to her but quickly realize it wasn’t to her but to Ann’Knox.
“Hold on longer! I’m almost there!” Kate slowly lowered her arm but not entirely and said, “You fuckers better not be messing with me! Stanton is that you? Captain!?” The male voice answered, “Kate? Commander, I’m on my way back.” Kate said, “From fucking where? Captain Briggs? Captain! Hello?!” It appeared the transmission was cut off, “Look you vain bitch.” Kate said. “What happened here and what did you do with Stanton?” Ann’knox couldn’t exactly speak so she showed it to Kate telepathically. It wasn’t entirely in order the series of flashing memories but she saw Ben and Stanton leaving together, then she saw the crew of the Harbinger at battle stations. Then she saw herself on board the command deck of the Harbinger. Kate turned her arm so that the sharp side of the blade turned to the flat side and she swung at Ann’. “You call that an explanation love?” Ann’knox manage to utter, “Run!” Kate needed no further explanation and knew exactly what she meant but she wanted to know how would Stanton would return. Ann’Knox said, “Go! Can’t hold it any longer…”
Kate said, “Fuck! FUCK!!” She had her armor fold back and she ran back to the shuttlebay. She saw the Admiral carrying some injured Harbinger crewmen in the shuttle. Kate grabbed the one that Grabfoot was helping in and she lifted him crewmen and throw him away from the shuttle. Then she pushed the admiral in to the shuttlecraft. “We don’t have time for this! Plus we might need to kill those who you just saved.” She curtly said to him but with a look of knowledge that he didn’t have about them. Moments as their shuttle left the Harbinger and a good amount of distance the not so dead starship exploded behind them. The shuttlecraft was met with a shockwave but giving them only minor damage. They were also met with another shuttlecraft from the Harbinger but through the window Kate could see the Captain. Both crafts makes it back on the Sotrila’s Main Shuttlebay; as soon as Kate stepped out and Stanton leaves his shuttle craft. She pulls out a phaser that she saw on Grabfoot’s holster and lifts her arm at the Captain. “Arsehole!” then turns to shoot the Harbinger survivors and leaves the two men, Grabfoot and Stanton semi-bewildered.

Temporal travel was not the glamorous thing H.G. Wells made it seem. First of all you lose perspective. It was never mention that time and the alignments of the universe tied in with your equalibrium. Besides that, it was a huge waste of time. Stanton wanted some insights into Anya Rothschilde. He got none. She was yelling at both he and Grabfoot, but to Stanton it just looked like mad gestures. When he finally started to see clearly again she was gone. The shuttle landed on Sortila with a thud.
Kate stormed out, and Stanton's head was still pounding as if he had a three day bender. He made his way to his office and ordered up a prairie oyster from the replicator. He drank it slowly as he looked around at the mess that was once his office. He shook his head looking at his desk. It looked like an old fashioned "modern" art sculpture. He pulled over an end table that was holding a model of the Sortila. He put It softly on the ground and dragged the table in front of his chair on wobbly legs. He tapped his com badge summoning his security chief to his office. He wanted to know what the hell Kate was on about. His head had finally stopped pounding when his door bounded open with the security officer storming in. "Did, I just call you or are you reading minds again?"

Grabfoot reached the bridge ad see it littered with bodies, mostly piled up near the starboard stern of the bridge. The answer why was obvious: A gaping hole out into space, being plugged by a force field. He stepped over most of the bodies, some of them still alive, some still may be able to be treated. He tried to gather information first to see what happened.
As he gathered information and scanned the bodies for anyone that could actually survive being transported ship to ship, his fur on the back of his neck started raising and his sixth sense went on alert. This can only mean one thing "Kate, What in slashbacks name are you doing now?" He asked himself, walking over to a working monitor. After a couple moments, he finds out what is happening. From the looks of things, Kate's got her anger flared and roasting things and bodies around her. "Is that... It is... Grant!" He growled. Why the *hiss* are you messing with him?" He watched as she went over and grabbed a long piece of metal from the bulkhead, walked over and impaled the bastard straight through "Bloody Hell. I wanted the pleasure to rip his head off." With a growl, he switched off the monitor and started picking up wounded and moving them to the shuttle bay.
After a few trips, he came in with a couple bodies and suddenly Kate came in, adamant about wanting to leave, chucking the two that he had aside and pushing him into the shuttle, telling him there was no time to waste, and perhaps the need to kill the survivors may come as well. He hissed and sputtered as Kate pushed him in but he didn't verbally argue. Not when she was in adamant get our asses out of there mode. Plus she looked like she knew something, and pretty important and she wasn't sharing. Typical Kate
When the Harbringeer exploded, he threw a comment to kate "Melt the warp core with your heated discussion with Senior Grant?" he rhetorically asked, seeing the other shuttle aside their and Stanton seemed to be at Helm "At least we found Stanton."
Back on the Sotrila, after a bumpy landing, he exited the shuttle and approached Stanton "Captain, I am.. *Grunts as he felt his phaser being taken and watched as Kate coldly shot down any remaining Harbringer survivors then left as if nothing had happened. He shook his head, not surprised that Kate would pull something like that. He would leave the shuttle bay and head for the lounge, wondering if Jessica is off duty or not.

Location: Deck 11, Main Engineering, Warp Reactor Room
Haemis lay on the floor under the master situations console, the maintenance panels were all laying strewn about the floor around the console. He had gotten fed up with damn things not working and being on the fritz it was like missing his security blanket. It was his eyes into everything that was the Sotrila.
“Chief, here’s that pack of ODN processors you asked for.” A hand with the vacuum packed processors in it.
He reached out and snagged them, and popped the package open. He started to pull the bad processors out just depositing them wherever they fell. Plugging in the new processors and activating them one at a time he could hear the thing powering back up. Music to his ears! “That a girl!” he said.
Haemis grabbed a circuit diagnostic and repair tool and began tracing the data lines through the various ODN circuits trying to find an elusive short in the board. He’d been trying to find it earlier but had the bright idea to light off the console figuring it would help to have power flowing through the line. He was just happy it didn’t overload which meant it wasn’t bad. “There ye are!” he said seeing the voltage drop to nearly nothing as he ran the diagnostic tool over it.
Switching it over to repair, he began running it the length of the board mending the metal and polymers back together to try and complete the circuit.
“Looks like you’ve got it chief!” his assistant called down to him from above. “Want me to start a diagnostic?” he asked peering under the console.
“Aye Lad, I’ll get cleaned up down here!” he said as he began grabbing panels and putting them back in place. “Perhaps we can get a better go at the damage control!” he put the last panel back in place.
“That would be nice!” he could hear the young man call from above.
“Aye,” Haemis slowly dragged himself out from under the console; they had been working for hours using all the parts and salvage his team had recovered from the other stricken vessels. “Tis a good thing we know what were do’n.” he said with a weary grin. He looked down at his uniform it was unrecognizable between all the debris, blood, lubricant, and other things that had soaked into his uniform. He had been all over the ship. In just about every system it felt like, and they still had a long way to go.
“I’d say that it’s great that we at least won’t be bored. We’ve got work for day boss!” Antwan said surveying the board as it began to come alive showing trouble points all over the ship. “Days!” he said again exhaling letting some of his exasperation go with it.
Haemis shifted brushing off pieces of dirt from his uniform. “Work up a plan of action, let’s try and find the most efficient way of get’n at all of this!” he shook his head. “You know the drill lad, make it happen!” he bent over picking up his red tool box. “I’m heading down to take a look at that water pressure flow regulator on the main water storage. We don’t need any more water leak’n away!”
“That wouldn’t be a leak chief, it would be a river, or a lake even!” Antwon said as he bent over the Master situations console and began to organize the repair’s by priority. He looked up just in time to see his boss leave the room.
Haemis strolled down the corridor toward the turbolift; a familiar face came around the corner causing him to stop abruptly. “Oie, lad!” he said startled. "Mr. Jackson!” he said as his mind caught up to his mouth. “Ye try’n to give me a bloody heart infarction!”
“Take it easy Irish!” the man said with a beaming smile. “You going to be about for a quick game later?”
Haemis shook his head; it was swimming suddenly as if he had just run head first into a deck support. “Nay, got me to much work lad. Didn’t I bloody tell ye not to all me Irish!” he yelled at the man, his face turning bright red.
Ryan held his hands up in defense. “Sorry Mac, its just habit.” He put one hand on his should and looked him in the eye. “You have a job to do Mac, time to get too it!” he smiled and moved around the man who seemed confused disappearing into engineering.
“Haemis, you alright?” a woman’s voice called to him from behind. It was distant. He shook his head and turned the corner stepping into the turbolift.

Kate just walks on to the bridge without acknowledging anyone on command and straight in to the Ready Room. Stanton looks towards her and said, “Did, I just call you or are you reading minds again?" She grabs the drink from his hand and took a gulp to only spit it out and throw the glass against a wall. “Arsehole!” Kate said curtly. “I’m done playing Starfleet with you and with your bad choices.” She pause momentarily, “You left the ship with that 'pup' lad Patton! He is lost and unfit for command and nearly competent in the job you set for me to resume.” As she referred as a Security Chief. She stared straight in Stanton’s eyes, “Then you left and work with that bitch Ann'knox and not with me?” She felt betrayed that this stupid human who she let effect her to only use her as a doormat. “You couldn’t trust me to fucking tell me where you were going at least and you left me here babysitting an unfit misfit Drak but not Drak in sheep's clothing.” Referring back at Patton.
Kate removed her Starfleet pins and throws them at Stanton’s feet. “Out of the respect that I have for the Sotrila name, I will help with bringing this rogue Admiral. After which I am truly done with my obligations and I will go back in what I do best…”

Staton was holding his prairie oyster one moment the next it was wall decoration. Kate was in her full fury. Not unexpected considering the circumstances, but also somewhat bothersome. Neither of them had time for this. She had her usual fire, but her emerald eyes revealed something else…concern. She would never admit to it, but she was worried. He also noted a hint jealousy with Ann’knox. He listened to Kate’s words like she’d never been listed to before. His office was already a mess so more broken glass wasn’t going to make much of a difference. He locked on to Kate’s eyes with laser like focus. He stood never leaving his target kicking the small table out of his way. He wanted her to feel him connecting with her. He moved towards her; slowly closing in past the personal barriers one such as her erects to keep their emotions and their desires separate. As he moved closer each step was marching through the facades that surrounded her. Made to keep anyone from seeing any part of her she did not wish them to see. He as not so close he could see her eyes behind the green glow of drak energy. “You want to leave me?” He said in a sincere voice. “Do you wish to know your value to me?” He said in a strong quiet voice. “Are you questioning that value?” He asked. “I will ask you again: Do you Want to leave me?

The bald human stood quickly focusing his eyes on to hers. Her body jolted unexpectedly to Stanton kicking the stool, Kate mouthed most of the words with a soft tone, “Wha.. you..u… doo…” Then Stanton stood just centimeters from her face she could lick his mouth. Kate produced an involuntary field; folding around her and 'him'. The heat began to distort the space surrounding them and radiated beyond the Ready Room. “You are taking a big risk…” Kate uttered softly, She wasn’t inferring to the obvious but awakening the darkness that lays still but always watching.
“You want to leave me?” He said in a sincere voice. Kate’s face shifted from anger and confusion to a very human and 'foreign' vulnerability. Stanton continued in a strong quiet tone, “Do you wish to know your value to me?” Curiosity shown through her eyes but she refused to admit it in words. “Are you questioning that value?” He asked. Before she could really sense what he was asking he asked, “I will ask you again: Do you 'want' to leave me?” Kate slipped out a bit of a tremble but she quickly composed herself and softly said, “Yes.” She may have not known the feeling of a good thing nor know what to do with it but she knew it was better to leave it.
The radiating heat wasn’t the kind to melt bulkheads or pure rage but something that was all to familiar to Stanton. This field of soothing warmth quickly collapsed in and disappeared within her. She stepped back and said, “What are your orders sir?” She asked as if she was an officer again but it was more so just for him. Kate had no intentions on picking up those Starfleet pins, nor be one of them knowing she would be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Kate didn't want to become what Patton has mindlessly made himself. An unoriginal drone of what humans think they should be and she felt weak being such a creature.

“Yes.” Stanton heard the words come from her mouth not in contempt, as if it took every fiber of her being to let them out. He wasn’t disappointed by her answer. It was expected. He felt the fear well up inside her. When she uttered the word, he could see her lips slightly tremble. She stepped back quickly as if she were reacting to a sharp pain. Once she had the safety of distance she said. “What are your orders, sir.” It was a feeble attempt to change the tone of the conversation, but Stanton needed his security chief to understand so he would not give her the space she so desperately needed. He didn’t get as close as he was before, but he didn’t give her the distance she wanted either. “You will get your orders when I’m damn well finished.” He said in an authoritative tone. “You have this idea that somehow a uniform will change you, that a title makes you weak.” He continued to stay in her eyes. “Uniforms don’t make people the way they are. Grant is Grant because that it how his father trained him. He was never told who he was, and that was wrong.” Stanton explained. “But that is his parents mistake and not Starfleet. “ He paused for a moment to think. “You have to understand that I could give two shits about Starfleet, the CRV or anything else. I care about my crew, this ship and the truth.” He pause just long enough to let his words resonate. “There is one more thing worth fighting for…you. I will fight for the part of you that is dying to get out. I want you to know that despite what is in front of me I will continue to fight. I will fight because under that shell is a bond forged of human and drak stronger than any drak steel.”

Kate stood back but Stanton persisted both in body and words. She wasn’t the type of person to not go through what leaves her mouth. Whether it was untrue or otherwise, Kate wasn’t going to change for this man ether. There was a reputation she needed to uphold and she wasn’t gonna disappoint. “Where the fuck did Grant get in this?!” Her thoughts about Patton Grant was it that apparent in her behavior? Or this bald human be holding hidden talents that he isn’t aware of? “Don’t compare me to a sodding Grant!” Her blood boiled and her eyes fired to a reddish hue behind the green. The rage that nearly consumed her on the Harbinger was rearing its ugly head. “I stand fast with my decision, I am leaving after I help retrieving that pale bitch for you not as a stupid Starfleet drone.” Referring to the Security Chief position; she was done with all that, she was going to take things in her own hand and done in her own way.
Then she glared at him. “Like you said fuck materialistic symbolism but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m not Starfleet nor 'human' exactly.” Humans in her eyes are weak or the part of her that is, “Continue to fight for my 'soul' all you like but this is our 'last' mission together Captain Stanton Briggs.” She wanted to head for the door but she stood strong, “Go reassign yourself a new security drone and stop wasting my time with this human feelings and pointless fighting for my being. I am a lost cause and there are far precious bastards on this ship you can put your condescending concerns to.” Her face structure and body stance changed with absolution. “The Sotrila is wasting away by not moving towards Rothschild! Compose yourself Captain, your personal feelings are clouding your judgment or do you need that idiot Admiral Kitty KitKat to take over? You can be his XO and Patton back where he belongs as your damn Security Chief.” Kate walked around him and leaned behind him saying, “I am not apart of your damn crew, so spare me your human need to bond! I am a 'Drak' and I stand alone.”
Whether they were done with their conversation or not Kate was done with him. She walked out of the Ready Room and on to the bridge with a glowing redness in her eyes. Something changed and everyone could feel it. "Who here thinks your Captain has been making careless choices?" Kate said plainly to whomever who was on deck. "What are your goals? Have you all lost your justification in being in the Gamma Quadrant or run back home like cowards..." She walks off in to a lift and while the doors slides shut she confidently uttered, "Make your choices ladies and gentlemen." Kate smiles sinisterly.

Stanton laughed on the inside. He slowly walked over and sat down. Whenever he was around Kate he seemed to feel stronger. All the affects of time travel and the stresses on his body went away. Now they were all back. She had stormed out of his office with all the righteous indignation she could muster. Questioning his competence was her normal defense mechanism. There was a time when it would actually bother him, but now all he saw was a what was inside. The fear was there and so strong he could taste it, like sour milk. The fear was not of him, but of herself. He snapped himself back to the reality he was in at the present(After his little joy ride with Ann, he learned that thee were a lot more than his present one.). He didn't have a communications console as it was, along with his desk, embedded in the wall. So Ms Photan wanted orders she was about to get some. He tap his comm badge. "Helm, plot a course to the last known coordinates for Legacy, best speed." He then looked up. "Computer tap my comm badge into Kat... Commander Photan's comm badge." He waited and the computer acknowledged his command. "Commander Photan, while you are giving orders, get the chief to have a team get my office back in working order asap. It seems one of my over exuberant officers managed to destroy it. Also, I want a roll call. All senior staff are to acknowledge and report to the conference room. We are about to have a good old fashioned briefing. Briggs out."
